Tell him to STFU and take his bullshite elsewhere. Some people just don’t want to be happy and choose to surround themselves by puddles of shite, piss, and misery. Not your problem to fix.

Dems are always miserable. It is their natural state.

I forgot to add, the other thing I hear that makes me want to slam my laptop shut and just close the door---"I read on Drudge today."

Maybe not read Drudge Report dude. Who the TF even reads that site these days.

You should introduce him to the OT Lounge so he can whine online like us.

Eta: if you sign up for TD Premium you can get a referral bonus

Work remotely?

Having said that, I can’t imagine having to sleep with a CPAP

He's just mad that he can't be playing Magic the Gathering, DnD, or World of Warcraft.

I feel bad for you. I hate a bad attitude at work. I leave job postings for other companies on their desk, with a note that says something like "This looks like a dream job". The last one just took a job with a chemical company and life has been so much better around the office for everyone.

I work with this woman and she has the whiniest voice I have ever heard. We had to move her into her own office away from everyone. It’s the same shite everyday about headaches and blah blah. Just an overall lazy sack of shite

last time my coworker went on a misery rant I told him ‘toughen up, buttercup’

So he went to complain about me and the boss told him ‘she’s not wrong.’

He might’ve put his two weeks in (hopefully)

Man, I try to distance myself from miserable people like that. Don't let him bring you down all day everyday.

Many moon ago had a fat female coworker that did nothing but whine and complain. Another coworker finally had enough and told her, "you know what? You should kill yourself. All you do is whine and complain. You're miserable. You should kill yourself." It worked. She was still miserable with her lip out, but she shut up.

We are almost the same person lol. Would like to know what department you work because we are also funded through the shutdown.

I have a coworker who is pretty much the same.....he doesn't have a cpap though. He has started to bring me down.... I had a very bad 2024 and every time I tried to talk to him about what was going on he would have to 'top' it (I lost my mom and kids mom 6 weeks apart, my dad almost died 3 times during the year and my brother blames my dad for our mom's passing.....it wasn't his fault).

What I try and do is go do work that he doesn't like to do. If you are office (I'm both office and field) then I would maybe see about wearing earbuds if you are allowed (we are). Hell I wear mine a good bit with nothing playing just so he doesn't talk to me.

Honestly I found through my career that negative people invariably didn’t have enough to do. There needs to be a slight sense of urgency in the workplace to keep folks engaged.

Oh there's plenty to do. He just finds gaps in his time to complain and gripe. Apparently he's the only one that has to bear a Cross.

I find that those type of people generally lack perspective. The things they complain about are pretty small in the grand scheme of things.

With those people in those situations I typically like to let them know that my life is so much better than theirs, my kids are awesome, my wife is awesome, and life in general is awesome.

Make sure to really let him know that the things he doesn't have time for are amazing, show him pictures of fish you caught and such.

He will leave you alone.
