Journalists/reporters
Politicians are expected to be dirty.
Journalists/reporters are expected to hold them accountable.
Instead, they run cover for their political masters.
That makes them more guilty than the politicians, IMO.

I've frequently said (with regard to Pat Forde in particular) how pathetic it must be to have dreamed of being a war correspondent but instead you end up devoting your life to finding dirt on Bruce Pearl or LSU or whatever.

Yep, mainstream sports journalism is nothing but gossip and dumb takes mistaken for being "hot."
Just be loud and controversial and you're a winner. Stephen A Smith for example. They've bitched all year about the attention Aaron Rogers gets, while being the one who gives all the attention.

I’m convinced every sports journalist, or at least ones that cover college football, are given a map of highly regarded BBQ restaurants and the complete discographies of Jason Isbell and Bruce Springsteen when they accept a job.

As a whole, journalists and politicians. 95+% of them are total scumbags, and gross.
Snake oil salesmen, and university research scientists in agriculture. A lot of these people are actually good people, they just live in an echo chamber that scoffs at somebody thinking outside the box.
Hospital administrators and anybody involved in pricing and selling health insurance. Total racket that feels like it's designed to be confusing to someone that looks at their policy once a year.

Based off my profession, architects. I would say engineers, but we deal with a lot of good ones despite some of the bad ones.
