Who wears black shoes with blue suits, besides Guido?

It's not that bad, but banning people because of it is ridiculous.

Blue suit and brown shoes for life. I don't understand the negativity from Rutgers.

blue suit is so much more professional than black. You're not going to a damn funeral.

I've got a much bigger problem with this "no blue" policy than I do with allowing black in a professional setting. Black is adequate though

The title of the OP is a bit misleading. Blue suits and/or brown shoes were banned. Blue suits and black shoes would have got you kicked out too.

Same. In that setting, banning blue suits is as arbitrary as banning silver watches.

And who the hell thought that would be a good idea? These are college students. A lot of them only have one suit. I know I only had one (blue) in college.

Maybe that was the point. If you were banned for blue suits and/or brown shoes, it made it clear you couldn't follow directions, regardless of how relevant they were.

Back in my dad we did not have brown shoes. We only had leisure suits in every color known to man, gold chains, and pimp daddy hats.

No, but it is a subtle way to reinforce white privilege and further subjugate minorities so it's still pretty useful.

This is freaking stupid and written by someone that doesn't know male fashion.

Dark grey suit... Brown or black shoes ok

Blue or Navy suit, the most common suit in the world... Brown or black shoes ok (I think darker brown shoes look best with a navy suit)

Black suit... That shite is for funeral directors, waiters, or guys that don't want the job.

You were doing so well until this crap. It may be out of fashion among 20-30 year olds, but it's still widely popular in a business setting.

Add to that every males first suit should be a navy suit. That one suit a college kids owns should be a navy one.
