I was mowing yards as a teenager for extra money.
But the house we currently rent....all landscaping included in rent. Mexicans come every other week to do yard work. No rock yard either...grass in front and back with sprinkler system.

At one time I would let the ole lady use the lawn mower because she loved getting the sun but since we put the pool in and we are usually in grand isle or vacationing somewhere 6 weeks during every summer. I pay my nephew to mow the lawn.

We split most chores. It's really probably a 60/40 split where my wife does more cleaning than I do, but I do more of the shite or laborious chores like the yard, fixing little issues and repairs. I cook more often. She lets me know if she feels like the split has gotten really imbalanced and I'm not holding up my end of the deal, and she's usually right about it.

So she lets you make your own decisions if you do all the chores around the house.
Your wife owns you.
Your wife owns you.

So you work a job and do the housework and all she has to do is screw you?
He's going to be pissed when he realizes he could have found a girl that gives him #1, 2, and 3 and also does the bulk of the cleaning.

I was expecting dumb arse remarks like this one. That’s why I listed my agreement. I can promise you not many men have it made like I do!

What does your "ole lady" do? I mean besides leverage her vagina?

I do the cooking
Pay to have house cleaned
Pay to have house cleaned

That’s pretty awesome. Itd cool being a dad.
It works and is pretty fair. I sometimes feel weird that I don’t spend more time hunting and fishing even though I grew up doing that all the time, but maybe will get back into one or both soon.
Being a dad has its ups and downs but the net effect is great.

I'm retired and my wife still works outside the home. So, I do all the cooking, house cleaning, all the wash except her clothes which she would rather take care of, cut the grass and do all maintenance to the house.
Also do maintenance on the vehicles when needed.
This keeps me busy and it's really not all that hard to do when you stay on top of it with a bit of work daily. I would not expect my wife to come home and deal with things after working all week.

As a dad, there are some things I will never forget. Im very proud of the kid I raised and wouldn’t trade one moment of time I spent with my kid. But I do understand the way you feel. My kid is currently in college and have been enjoying my hunting and fishing.

OP - I’m not sure if you are actually bragging about your arrangement or not? Hell, your wife is going to get fat sitting on her arse watching you do all the work. Replace golf with the hunting and I have all your “benefits” without having to sell my manhood to get them. I cook a lot on the grill because I like to, but other than that I do the outside work and she does the inside work . . . the way it is meant to be.

She cooks, the other two are shared duties to a degree.
I can do clothes but mainly her scrubs, school uniforms, towels, my clothes, and my son’s clothes, as all are pretty damn obvious as to how they are washed and who they belong to.
Trying to deal with clothes for my wife and my daughters is a pain in the arse due to women’s sizing. Doesn’t help that numerous articles for all three aren’t dryer safe.

I do all the cooking, most of the grocery buying, yard work, outdoor chores. we split the house work but I do the bathrooms.
Works for me. I like to stay busy and she can't cook for shite. Besides, I'm a neat freak and usually do things before her anyway.

Also I forgot to add this we have no kids and are not having any. I have one from a previous marriage and my kid is in college.
But what does she do around the house?
Your hobbies are out of the house so I assume she uses that time to do whatever the hell she wants
Do you actually get anything out of this other than the privilege of sleeping with your own wife?

You made a worse deal and don't even realize it. At least his wife is contributing to his early retirement.

My wife works about 55 hours a week. So I end up doing at least half, if not more, of the chores. I think it is unhealthy to "keep tabs" in that way, it will just build resentment for whoever is getting the short end of the stick, nothing is ever exactly 50/50.
I recommend anyone that can afford it, get a house cleaning service to come twice a month to clean your bathrooms and floors. It's worth every penny.
