When I worked for Nebraska Game and Parks we had 3 Jeep Scramblers. Fun little things to drive. They are beat to hell though

We had one of these when I was a kid. Transmission went out after 18 months or so. I was so pissed we had to get rid of it. Looking back it's funny to remember how much I loved this POS at the time.

As a boy growing up, my mother drove a 70's something Gran Torino. Fully loaded for it's time and was a beast. I never appreciated it because I was young and didn't know better.
She traded it in for a 83 Cutlass that was fully loaded and a beast on the streets as well. I got to drive that one.
It's funny to me as I got older that my mom, who was a older lady (40 when I was born), was driving these "street" cars that my friends as kids were always jealous of

Early 80's Rivieras always looked good to me; better than the Olds Toronado and Cadillac Eldorado versions of what was basically the same car.

The 80s were not a great time for cars. The 70s weren't that great either.

The 90's and 00's weren't that hot either for American cars. They were better than the 70's and 80's but not by much. American manufacturers can't get many car designs right. They knock it out of the park with trucks. But their cars usually suck.
