Neither, both are liberal shitholes one just more so than the other at this juncture

Oh not to worry, the Californians are coming to f*** your housing and politics all up.
First it was Austin, then it will be Denver, and then it will be Nashville.

Just got back from Denver. The city itself was nothing special to me. BUT…the the scenery in the area surrounding was amazing. Every single local I talked to said the cost of living was outrageous and becoming unbearable. Every single conversation it was mentioned.

Austin
Denver is great, but both are liberal as shite. Might as well live in a liberal city with a conservative state for balance. I've had good times in Austin.

Agreed. The weather in most of the South sucks. Boise area?
It got up to a scorching 85 degrees the other day. Zero humidity.

Denver has way better weather and nature activities. Austin has a marginally better food scene and significantly better music.
I’ve got to go with Denver here.

Denver but in the burbs to the west or north west

Austin is a scary place. No leadership and dangerous to live there. We live 40 mins away and don't visit.....everrr. so certainly wouldn't live there. RADIO stations have warned people to be very careful when visiting.

Denver even though that is my least favorite part of Colorado.

I'd tell you where I live - it's fantastic, but I don't want a bunch of people moving here

Austin.
1- No state income tax.
2- While housing prices are a bit crazy in the Austin area, Denver appears to be flat out insane.
I also don’t like the dryness of the air in Denver. A week at a time is all I can take.
That said, would rather live in neither city. San Marcos near Austin probably wouldn’t be too bad, nor would Round Rock.

Austin...I like music.
Ive found it interesting how Austin has convinced or indoctrinated people into believing no other city has live music. Any big city in this country has a plethora of live music every weekend and several weekday nights.

Does Denver?

Does Denver? It’s the most bland, generic city I’ve been to. You all act like the Rockies are in the backyard.
I acknowledge the rockies are a decent drive but that is a different issue than live music. Yes, Denver has plenty of live music. SLC is much better for mountain proximity than Denver.
