Reading some of these posts makes me feel old. Especially from whomever said they were in second grade.
No doubt, hell looking at join dates gets that way. Over 10 years on this forum.

Logged on to cnn.com and watched it streaming in the Internet in my office.
You might be misremembering things a bit. I don't recall any websites streaming live news broadcasts at the time. CNN did not start offering live streaming service until about 10 years ago.
I had about 20 people jammed into my cubicle as we watched on a tiny black and white TV that I kept there for when I went in to work on the weekends. After the second plane hit, we went to a friends house close by to watch.

2nd period English class. Senior year of high school. Girl who was always late walks in and tells everyone what happened. Put on classroom tv and watched for the rest of class. When we went to 3rd period principal got on pa and told teachers to turn tv's off and proceed like a normal day.......yeah right

5th grade English class. Teachers started freaking out and then decided to not tell ANY OF US what was happening all day.
Didn't send anyone home, etc. I didn't know what happened until 3 pm when my mom picked me up crying. Never forgave them for that.

Was stationed at Barksdale Afb, base wide excercise was going on. I had recently come home from working graves, making breakfast when my pager and phone started going off for a recall.
I assumed it was for excercise purposes until on my drive into base I could see Air Force one circling the base. I had no clue what was going on until arming up but knew it was serious.

Sophomore in college. Planes had hit, towers had fallen by the time I woke up to go to my first class. Like a true college student.

I was sitting in Geography 1001 as a Freshman at LSU. After the semester was over I enlisted in the Army, active duty. I thought I'd spend 4 years then head back to LSU. I ended up staying in 12 years, got out as a SFC, 21 Bravo route clearance (hooahhh) spent 2 deployments in Iraq, and 1 in Afghanistan. I look back today after graduating from LSU with a EE degree, and I'm forever grateful I decided to serve. The best decision I made in my life. Even though the evil I saw up close and personal, and the soldiers we lost along the way in my Bn, I'd do it all over again in a heart beat.

3rd grade and just got off the bus to see my friend's mom in a state of panic watching the tv. They were showing the towers falling down and needless to say I wasn't in the best state of mind at time. I wasn't old enough to fully grasp what was going on, but I knew it wasn't good in the slightest bit.
Later that night the entire neighborhood gathered for a big vigil in our drive way to honor the dead. I was a bit scared because I wasn't sure what was going to happen next because all I really understood was that the country was under attack and lots of people were dead

I had worked the night before 9/11 (my first year as a nurse). Was already home asleep when my bf at the time shook me awake. I was so out of it I didn't know what was going on. I was off of work the next 3 days and I spent pretty much all of that time on my couch watching the news for all the 9/11 coverage.
Cannot believe that was 15 years ago

Sophomore sutting in civics class. All I could remember is coach getting the message of the attack and immediately stopping the lecture and turning the tv on.
