I wasn’t born yet (88) but for those of you who were around in 1984, where were you? What was your life like? Please share some of your memories from that year.

I specifically picked this year because, in a thread I did awhile back here on the OT, many of you said that 1984 was the best year of the 80’s. 1984 was also 40 years ago, so I thought it would be appropriate also to pick that year in this regard.

Same here.

I am a child of 1981.

Now 1985, I can remember Hurricane Juan and having to get to the house in a boat since South Lafourche flooded for that storm.

hell yes it was...I know I'm biased but what perfect timing. Got to experience a childhood without the internet and hit teenage years as the internet was catching stride. Our childhood straddled two very different eras

If I told you about my 1984, it would be a downer for the thread.
