Need something for occasions and funerals. Rarely wear suits, but I don’t want some men’s warehouse crap. Maybe $500-$600 range? Any tips appreciated. TIA

I bought one last week at nordstrom rack. They don't have a huge selection though. Macys usually has them on sale. They have a much bigger selection.

Go to a Jos A. Bank when they have a sale.

I had to get a suit for a wedding coming up - I don't wear them often either. Got Ralph Lauren pants and jacket for around $275 (regularly $600) at Macy's. I guess not particularly fancy but they will do the trick.

You can get something really decent at Dillard's... be sure to take it to a reputable tailor and you'll look fab!

Any true OTer cannot buy off the rack at Jos Banks Bc any true OTer is too tall and too broad-shouldered for common sizes.

according to most in another thread, if you go anywhere other than goodwill you are paying too damn much...

Go see Frank McLavy or James Osborne at McLavy’s next to Bocage Market. They have suits in that dollar range and all altering if free. They will order for you as well.

Thanks Martini. That kinda covers all the bases for me. Fitting and tailoring are most important IMO. I’ll check them out.

1) Find a good tailor and get good measurements

2) Go to Suit Supply or look at Nordstrom sales or find a good Brooks Brothers sale

3) Bring said suit to said tailor
