I know y'all have seen the stories on Bank of America and Chase moving against crypto... The world is onto it. It will be illegal and worthless soon. LINK

Stick to white sunglasses, gold chains, and popped collars.

Perspective:

Anti Bit-coin advocates serve up massive helpings of crow in a absolute crushing downturn of value that cuts the USD price of Bitcoin in half, reducing the 1-year return rate to a paltry 677%

Your perspective is much like the band on the Titanic. Just stay upbeat and refuse to recognize the impending doom.

It's just a correction...

Despite the usage of return in my last post, I don't see bitcoin as an investment.

Being worth even 5k a coin is still a significant number, and if it stabilizes there it will be interesting to see what happens.

What is the volume they are trading at? At some point people will just assume the loss and not even worry about pulling out their money. I think volume dropping off will show a more realistic leveling off.

Just saying.

As the money board joke goes that the board has predicted 27 of the last 3 (or now 4) corrections.....There are people that have been predicting bitcoin's death since the start, and it has exploded upward since then.

Why not sit back and watch it play out? Sometimes I feel like a Bitcoin founder diddled someone's mother which how personally some take it.

Why not make fun of an idea and people's poor decisions? It is way more entertaining.

Even as it crashes bitcoin 30k-ionaires can't help but defend the scheme.

Because up to now it’s not “clear” it was a poor choice considering the anti bitcoin rant has been going on for a decade after being proven wrong time and again.

I mean for fricks sake, the last time I heard folks get gleeful like this at bad news was for the Mt Gox closure.

Bitcoin was 500 back then.

Certainly it hasn’t gotten less entrenched since then as alternative currency.

I view it little differently than holding a non reserve currency. Stupid if you think it’s a get rich quick scheme, but different people want different things from it.

Btw, I’m not a coin hawk, nor do I have significant amounts of it. I just don’t understand years of derisive commentary from the same small group of people that quiet down in the ups and rush out with the I told you sos for the downs.

Rinse and repeat.

It's egged on by the group that is quiet in times like this and speaks of how we are all missing the once in a lifetime opportunity when it is on its way up.

There is constant discussion from coiners, you just choose to look the other way. And coiners say you are missing the opportunity when the market is on its way down, not up, as evident as the post above me shows.

This thread will not age well

Some of these people you are talking about who made "poor decisions", have already cashed out 6 and 7 figure gains as well

I wish I could have those "poor decisions"

Might not be illegal, but heavily regulated

Governments don’t like places where you can put money that is allegedly untraceable

yeah i don't have any crypto and use BTC solely as an exchange/currency when i do buy it

the technology/concepts are game-changing. the irony is that these bubbles negatively affect the tech as a currency, so i'm not really a fan of them. i want them to crash to become more stable long-term

people who attack cryptos do have some merit b/c of the recent insanity, but they fail to see the long-term, big picture

a. they had the chance already and declined. it's treated like all other short/long term capital investments or currency investments. why would that change?

b. the glory of cryptos is that if governments regulate certain types, a new one will be created to circumvent the regs. the government simply cannot adapt fast enough to overtake the technology (Which is why a, above, occurred)
