Yes, currencies are volatile as well, but the excuse behind the recent surge was that bitcoin was the future. Instead it is/was a ponzi scheme in the making.
Bitcoin has fricked over all the 3rd world countries that it was supposedly designed to help. Can't wait for someone to do the story on that.
