The “University of Louisiana” is a system, not a single university. I get in discussions about this a lot. However, if there were going to be a “University of Louisiana”, it probably should be in Monroe, since it has a professional school on its campus (Pharmacy) !
And yes, I went to the old USL. There’s nothing “flagship” about that place !!!!!

Especially since ULL has been insisting that sports broadcasters drop the "at Lafayette" part of their name.
I was at NLU/ULM when this foolishness happened. frick Lawson Swearingen.
Since this is the reality and the Board of Regents doesn't want to let it go, we might as well have some fun with it...
ULM and ULL should set their football schedules so that their last regular season game is against each other (call it "The Louisiana Bowl") with the winner being able to claim being THE University of Louisiana for the next year.
