Prob in the minority here but Mid city is my favorite. Close to city park and really only have to deal with Endymion for Mardi Gras.
Living uptown is what made me move. I hated it.

This would be my choice. My sister lives there with her family. Nice mix of families and young professionals. Very walkable. Access to cool shops and restaurants, not to mention the park. They’ve lived there for years and never had any safety issues.

We live in the neighborhood behind Rummel and love it. There are sketchy areas across W Napoleon but I've got cameras.

Garden District or Uptown near Audubon Park if you're rich. Irish Channel, East Riverside, or Bayou St. John for us middle class folks.

Probably right, but that area is across a deep canal, and has fences, walls, an Atmos facility and the golf course as a buffer (not to mention the JPSO unit usually stationed by the Guidry house on Northline at night ).

I had seven first cousins who grew up on Nassau Drive and one of the boys found a dead body in the street back in the early 80s. Came from that hood on the right of your picture. Just a body dump.

Lakeview is nice if you actually want to live in Orleans Parish. Honestly, its the ONLY place I would live if I had to live in Orleans Parish.
