I agree. I was a mile from the Hermosa pier and a mile from the Manhattan pier. It was great being so close to them and the activities around them.

I could afford to live in Malibu but I’m a man of the people and would rather stay in Compton.

Compton, Inglewood, Gardena, Hawthorne all shitholes that butt up to some expensive areas.

Hawthorne is home to Space X and a nice FBO, though.

1) No way I live in Cali unless everyone else moves out.

2) La Jolla would be my spot.

Have you been to California? The people are not bad. I’ve spent some time there and certain areas would be awesome to raise a family in. I’d be bitter about the taxes.

I lived in 90802 and I can tell you, there may be "more than 100 rentals under 1500", but 0 of which would be in areas you wanted to live in.

Probably in the outer sunset area. I have friends that live there and the apartments are nice but small.

Went to the Aquarium of the Pacific, Pike outlets and the grand prix. LBC is a cool area.

I have spent a lot of time in California. Yes, many of the people are awesome but more than 51% are completely embracing of loony leftist policies that I will not live under.

I used to spend about 30% of my time in California as I had some very large clients there.

Maybe I should say I wouldn't move there without the complete and absolute authority of who gets to live there and who doesn't - some sort of benevolent dictator appointment.

You probably are looking at the Tenderloin. This is the containment zone for homeless people doing drugs on the street. Outsiders don’t know about it and get lured in with the cheap rent. If it seems too cheap, there’s probably a reason for it.

I would absolutely hate to live in southern California in 2019 and beyond.

Now like..1965 to 1985 it may have been interesting.

People that complain about an entire state because of political backgrounds are missing out. California has a lot to offer, and at least 2/3rds of the people don't give a shite about politics.

I go to OC all the time and really enjoy it there. Much more laid back and conservative.

I’d live in the Irvine area. 20 minutes from Disney/Newport/Huntington and 1 hour from Temecula wine country and San Diego
