I had a blowout on the highway a couple of days ago and was just looking to purchase 1 used tire for a Tahoe. Do you guys know of any reliable used tire shops around Baton Rouge?

I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but there's a shop on the corner of Florida and Sharp that I've used before. And the old Baum's bakery location at Florida and Woodale is a used tire shop, too.

Most any busy tire retailer has quite a stash of used tires that they will sell if you ask for them. Tire for something as common as a youkon should not be hard to find at all. You have to go in person and often have to pay cash, because they don’t run it through the business.

Tires are one of the things you shouldn't skimp on to save a buck.

There is that place that is in the parking lot of the flea market on airline, but that may be Prairieville.
Also, not sure if I'd trust a used tire unless you are replacing a full size spare. Seems safer to just buy 1 (or 2) new lower end tires that have a warranty, etc. Just my two cents.

Any of those little muslim tire shops that are scattered around.
They usually just have a big sign that says TIRES

There are two on the corner of Florida and S Eugene. The guy plugged a couple of tires for me for $10.

Southeast Tires is amazing.
McDonalds Tires has two locations in baton rouge and baker. They are equally awesome.

Order a new one then give a local shop a couple bucks to use their equipment and put it on yourself. Will be cheaper and then you have a new tire vs some dry rotted trash.

Don't be mean. I have been there and these shops saved my butt a few times.
Also he may be going this route because he plans to replace all 4 in a few months/few thousand more miles.
