When I was in high school, there were a few instances when I messed with people who didn't deserve it.. It was acts of opportunity just to get a laugh, but it was at other people's expense... It's weird how we hold on to some of these things.

Traffic cops remind me of school bullies

Only guy I ever had a deal with (and the only one I got suspended from school for getting in a fight with) is dead. Drugs. His sister too...drugs (meth).

Hopefully he’s at peace.

He’s with the Lord now.

It's a part of life I guess. Sometimes it goes way overboard.

My school used to group 7th and 10th graders for PE. We'd have to share locker rooms with the bigger kids, which was not very wise on the part of the administration.

There was one smaller kid that used to get picked on pretty badly by the principal's nephew. Not a damn thing we could do about it either since the bullies were three years older and substantially bigger - and had a good 20 minutes with that poor kid without supervision every day. That kid ended up having some major mental/emotional problems after he went to college. He's pretty sick today.

I regret not standing up for him more, although that would have resulted in a swift arse kicking by much bigger kids. Maybe I could have helped make his life a little easier before he got sick. Maybe if a group of us fought back instead of keeping our heads down things would have been different. We were just glad he didn't screw with us too much.

I honestly have no idea what happened to that particular bully either. At the time in his life when he needed a major arse kicking, none of us delivered that for him. He toned down a couple of years later when we all caught up with him in size.

There was one guy who everyone picked on in middle school. I always felt bad for the kid but never really befriended him. In high school he hated my guts, and I could never figure out why. It still bothers me. Wish I would have stuck up for him more as a child.
