Kelly Skranz is the man

I couldn't agree more!

He and Dr Moises Arriaga worked together and removed my brain tumor 9 years ago.

Dr. Kraker in NOLA.
Dr. Maraganore in Metairie.
Both are worth considering.

My wife had a brain aneurysm a few years back. Dr Charles Bowie in the Nuero med center in Baton Rouge basically saved her life.

Isaza is not a neurologist last I checked. Orthopedic doctor. He had me try to avoid surgery as well but he ended up doing a fusion of L3,4,5 for me.

It depends on what the problem is. I’ve sold drugs in Neurology for about 20 years and have called on most Neurologists is the state as well as Texas and MS. There are a bunch of good ones but many specialize in MS, Parkinson’s,Epilepsy,Migraine etc. depending on the issues it might give more clarification around who you might want to see.

The initial consultation is this week with Benjamin Brown at Ochsner in Covington.

Dr. Brown is my current neurosurgeon. He’s good. I had several brain surgeries about 5 or 6 years ago. Ochsner Neurosurgery took good care of me. Dr. Koga is another good one. He actually performed surgery on me. He’s not with Ochsner anymore, but still in the area. Dr. Ware is a good surgeon but a huge douchebag.

Who do you consider the best? Preferably in Ms, but I’d drive to La. I’m losing confidence in my Dr here.

Bridget Baggert at Ochsner in New Orleans or Jesus Lovera at LSU in New Orleans.

Not sure if you want to drive a couple of hours, but Dr. Ruth K Fredrics is the best neurologist in Mississippi. She happens also to be the doctor that cared for me when I had a stroke a few years back.

ETA: Feel free to search her up and read her reviews.

primary doc will be the one to find the right type of specialist.

if you end up needing a neurosurgeon frankly they are all good. depending on what the issue is might steer towards one or the other.

ill say this, i went through school with Kelly Scrantz and he is the smartest person ive ever met in my life and a damn good neurosurgeon.
