i don't even like jordans (air max guy).

Right, I get that for sure.
If you want to spend a couple hundred dollars on a couple nice pairs of shoes that you aren't necessarily buying for function alone, that's not overly crazy to me.
What makes me tilt my head, are these people who have collections of Jordans. I'm talking 20+ pairs at $200 a pop or more.
Hell, they are basically treated as commodity for most of their buyers/owners.
I just don't get it.

Nothing screams pandemic more than the need to get out for the latest drop of Jordans. If they only took the same enthusiasm and initiative to get a job.
