Just admit it ladies, looks matter just as much to you as men, you just value different things. One: A man must be taller than you, and 6'0 or better is preferred. Hair is very important, and you enjoy long hair that's not scuzzy. Athletic build is a huge plus. You want your man to look more like The Rock, and less like Harry Potter. Size doesn't matter? It does when you're a whore. And finally, for those of you who truly say "looks don't matter," it just means your bank account does instead. And hey ladies, I'm okay with these aspirations, but why can't you just be honest?

I can agree that many women look for one thing, money...ie security. They are ultimately in competition with their peers and want their man, house, car, etc to be better then their friends. Unless of course you find a good, down to earth woman with a career...

It is in a way in that they often go out of their way to say it's just as "equally" important, than acknowledging the significance over other commonly listed attributes. Guys as a whole tend to be more up front about looks being the make/break. The ugly guy-hot girl dynamic has lessened in recent years as women earn their own money now, and without that reliance, women go for pretty boys. This is why you see the shift in male body dysmorphic disorders, gym rats, male fashion tends and the like.
I think the OP is calling out women on the having their cake and eating it too, in that they are above superficiality, when Gods knows none of us are.
