I figured as much. Late in life stability means a lot. I'm sure in the early years of their marriage it would have been a different story unless she would just have stayed with him because of the children they had together.

Not necessarily in that order. Some of those those superceded others and depending what those things are can actually effect the need for one or the other.

But we're talking about half of someone else's personal belongings in a marriage. And most women don't go into a marriage thinking what can I get once I divorce this a-hole?
