If you ask the people who hate the police this question they have no answer. The thought that you'll dial 911 and no one will come is inconceivable to the average protester. More police every day are resigning, retiring early, or just shutting down.
Criminals aren't completely stupid. They have learned to travel in groups. Recent events have given them a blueprint to take your stuff. What's your plan?

Good. Let's de-fund the police force in the scum communities and let them all fend for themselves. Roll the taxes saved into functioning cities, etc to beef up their police force.

Oh an extra liberal facebook friend of mine, who I'm pretty sure lives in a commune had a brilliant answer to this....she posted an article about how we can achieve a police free world with roaming...wait for it...meditation and de-escalation squads. I have a hard time reconciling that this level of stupid exists.

That won’t happen, what will happen is the nature of law-enforcement is starting to completely change. Proactive police work has been eliminated in most departments. Everything now is based upon after the fact response. Even when that occurs, you will see very little action going forward Based upon policy from the powers that be are the prosecuting authority. I believe that Businesses and neighborhoods are going to have to pay extra for proactive law-enforcement. We pay off duty cops to patrol our neighborhood and act proactively when they see something suspicious. Business owners do the same in certain areas. You will see this across-the-board in less than 10 years, especially if the courts strike down immunity from civil suits.
