TRUTH! Another person can make you unhappy though.

Agree, I think he misread it as him saying he wasn't happy with his marriage when in fact I think he was saying that the act of getting married is in and of itself an antiquated and unnecessary act. I happen to agree.

Anything else, God doesn't acknowledge your divorce. And even if you remarry, you'll be committing adultery on your first spouse

It's completely absurd that you think you have the authority to speak for what God would want.

thats exactly what Jesus said..

quote:

“But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife [and husband of course], except for sexual immorality, makes her [or him] the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery” (Matt 5:37. 19:9).

Sorry you aren't happy with your decision. I'm a married guy and it's been great. Would not want to imagine my life right now as a bachelor.

I would likely be with my wife, just not married.

I would think he means that you get them to seek help first before you just throw away the marriage due to addiction issues.

Irreparable mental issues, massive change in personality, lack of sex, lack of caring.

no , like don't just say frick she's an addict without even trying.

like offer to help her find a place to get help.

Like go with her to the places and let her know that you care enough to help her get help.

if she just refuses to get help, then it's time to cut ties.

Infidelity.

Serious crime by the other partner.

Marriage becomes detrimental to the mental well being of bith parties or deterioration of the relationship has a negative effect on any children that would be better off with a divorce.

When your kids are raised and out of the house and your wife starts to look like a grandma. Time to get a newer model.
