I think they’ve fallen out of favor because kids don’t grow up drinking malts anymore, and that’s a bit of an acquired taste.

first year as Dad to see the kids not get any candy corn. It’s usually the one Halloween candy I’ll tax. I always buy some salted peanuts in advance to mix with them. Out of luck this year

Malts are so good. My wife makes these double chocolate soft baked cookies, but she uses chocolate malt mix in the dough. Between me and the kids even a double batch only lasts a few days.

When I was a teenager and into my twenties I used to go to the movies a lot. This was late 90s into the 2000s and every time I would get a box of whoppers and a drink and everyone used to give me a hard time about it.. "if you stop coming to the movies they will stop offering whoppers since you are the only person who gets them". I used to tell them I get them because I know no one would ask me for some.. Evidently people have a love/hate relationship with them.
