When did Subway get so expensive?

I don’t eat fast food or Subway often but was traveling for work today and there weren’t many options outside of Subway and gas station chicken. A six inch steak and cheese with chips and a drink was $11.43. Unreal. A damn foot long would’ve probably been over $15.

Been at least a year since they've jacked up the prices, it would be one thing if the quality rose with the prices but its all the same shite. They also got rid of the Seafood Sensation and for that I will take my business to Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's before Subway.

I member the $5 footlong days except this was every day. You didn't have to wait for special days to get what you wanted. Haven't been to a subway since 2017.

It's not Subway it's everywhere, A whopper is $6 just the sandwich not the meal, they used to be $3 not long ago.

Same reason why the inflation numbers provided by the government just don't match real world expenses seen by the public. Pretty much every thing has doubled the last 4 years.

Fast food is neither fast nor cheap anymore. It used to have significant value for me when I was either a broke kid or on the road.
