I have a neighbor that, after mowing his yard, will get out the blower, start up at the edge of his house, and blow the entire yard down into the street. He spends more time blowing than it took him to mow.

I bag leaves, but blow trimmings.
We have our streets swept regularly. Never looks too bad for very long and the drains never get clogged.

This thread is really exposing the trashy members of the OT

What happened to neighbor kids mowing the grass for spending money? When did it become a “profession”?

Lupe bags all the trimmings and leaves at my house. We aren't animals.

I would just leave clippings where they landed

we have a truck that drives around once a week and sucks all the yard debris up. so you're kinda supposed to get it out to the curb
I pay for a yard waste/compost bin as part of my trash service which is what all the grass clippings, twigs, pulled plants, etc. go into. It all goes to community compost pile that subscribers to the service can use.

Brah, it’s better for grass if you DONT rake up mulch, especially in summer months. I blow the drive way ‘ side walks into street, then sweep up into garbage. If it’s a lighter cut, I just blow into street.

When these guys realized they could make $50-$60/house and do 10 houses a day.
All they need is a truck and <$500 in yard equipment and they can make $500+/day

As I blow mine down the driveway I blow them into my yard... Then I re-mow them if they look too ugly.

i have a mulching blade so cant really see the clippings in my yard as long as i don't wait too long between cuts. the small stuff on my driveway I blow into the street, then turn around and blow them back into the edge of my lawn along my street.

You guys are still mowing your own lawns?
Trashy.
I have a lawn guy who cuts, edges, runs the blower and sweeps - and I don’t give two shits what he does with the clippings.

Lol, trashy you say? I'm not paying anyone to do something I can do myself.
I guess you are physically unable to do it yourself, pity.

I pay someone to mow my yard. I could do that myself. My time is worth more than I pay them. Plus, I don't have to buy equipment or have a place to store the equipment and I get to live my life on my off time instead of mowing the yard.
I pay someone to haul my trash to the dump. I could do that myself. My time is worth more than I pay them.
I pay someone to change the oil in my vehicles. I could do that myself. My time is worth more than I pay them.
etc
etc
Back on the OP: Is there anything better than speeding by the yard of a guy that has blown his clippings into the street and watching the clippings blow back into his yard or driveway? It is especially satisfying if they are still outside.

Nah, I just choose not to fill up garage 1 or garage 2 or the shed or the pool house with equipment and fuel and parts.
Also gives me more time to bang the old lady. Guess you’ll be too busy mowing, pity.

From what your wife told me, you are better suited for doing the yard but I digress.
Wow, didn't know a lawn mower, weed eater and blower took up so much room. I don't have that problem.
Keep making excuses.

Yeah, yeah the same lame excuse. Doing the yard takes maybe takes an hour or two every week to two weeks. So much time being saved.
I live my life just fine. Why do you pussies keep saying that "My time is worth more than I pay them"?
Keep wasting that money, morons always do.

I’ll have to ask my lawn guy what he does and get back to you
