There are lots of good dogs in shelters

Unfortunately not as much anymore. The non-pitts get scooped up by rescue groups and they ask for 30 pages of questionnaire and at least 500 dollars.

TF shelters are you dealing with? Nola metro shelter are nowhere near that kind of money. I’ve adopted two in the past 10 years and it was easily under $100 each

I’m sure you’re right but I’m not looking for a pit mix or a medium to large dog.

Will she take a pup back at any point in its life and require them to notify her if rehoming?

This. I’ve never purchased a dog that was anywhere near as loving and friendly as a rescue.

Cross between a Sheep Dog and a Poodle, requires monthly grooming otherwise the fur will get matted

I feel you. I got a 100 percent Euro Great Dane back in December. It was by far the most I've ever spent on a dog. It was also the first time I've ever gotten from it of state, but the whole process was pretty cool. They drove him overnight to me and I got the little man whos not so little anymore on Christmas eve. I was gonna hold off, but I lost my other pup the first of Dec and my dad in October. Crazy thing was he was born the same day my dad passed.

That’s wild man. Maybe check with dog rescue orgs in the area and see if they have suggestions.

$500+ to rescue is bs. They are hosing you

Go to the pound and adopt a mutt. They are the best pets. And usually a lot less expensive in the healthcare department.

They are pricing a product at 2-3K and people are paying it and you think it’s the breeder who has lost his mind? Sounds like good business to me.

Basically any breed of mini or toy breed.

As soon as we let the government start tagging dogs with service dog certs when in fact, the owners are the ones that need the certifications.

The two cats we have were almost two grand each. Worth it, the poorly bred parking lot cats you people favor are terrible pets.

My Labadoodle was cheaper because he is a first gen mix (50/50) and you have no idea how they will come out. My boy has more lab traits and look to him so people were less likely to buy. Their loss my gain.

He is very distinctive and regal looking. Has a beard. Much more handsome than those more poofy poodly looking doodles. The ones you see most often are actually 75% poodle.

My boy looks very similar to this

Yes, I can. $3,000+ is absurd.

Or childhood trauma that triggers the need for emotional support from animals instead of humans.

Could also be a reduction in people skills that leads to voids that only submissive and obedient animals can fill.
