This thread suggests that no one does misplaced nostalgia as well as blatantly racist idiots. Go sit in your $70k pickup truck and cry you dumb bitches.

Not the soldiers fault but it was an utterly pointless/senseless/retarded war for the US to enter, as has been pretty much every conflict the US has been involved in since WW2

I would submit that the Korean War was not pointless. Correct me if I’m wrong, but had the United States not intervened, South Korea would not enjoy the freedom they do today. North Korea would have swallowed up the South and the entire Korean peninsula would have been under the control of the Kims to this very day.

Do you agree or disagree? I know the war ended with a stalemate, but millions of South Koreans have been able to live their lives without enduring the suffering their people to the North have.

China: has to deal with keeping its middle class from starving to death and allowing it autonomy in a massive surveillance state plus worry about Taiwan

Russia: Has to worry about being sanctioned by the whole world

USA: no major problems, so focused on LGBT issues….But But But racists said it’s in decline though.

Mines not 70 but brand new it’s close. I bought it used. That being said, those of us with long commutes can justify wanting to have all the features. We spend X amount of time each week in this truck might as well get what we want.

January 18, 1946...when the letter that Ho Chi Minh wrote to Truman asking for US intervention on behalf of the Vietnamese people from the Japanese-friendly French colonists was sent and ignored. He would later turn to the Communists in China for help after his requests to the US fell on deaf ears. The US would become engaged in a conflict that divided the country, and governmental opposition grew from there. Perception of the US government suffered both domestically and globally.

So...Vietnam was the result of the crappy French colonists, and horrible judgement by the US government, and we've spent the better part of 6 decades overcoming those bad choices. All of it could have been avoided, had the US listened and inserted our influence early on.

When Did America’s Decline Begin?

When we started giving every kid a participation trophy!! We took away any incentive to be better/do better making every kid think they were entitled to what every other kid accomplished. And now that has spilled into every college graduate thinking they should be the CEO coming out of college or the mindset of being above picking up garbage, even though that is what some skill sets call for.

Can you imagine today's 18,19 or 20 year olds fighting a hand to hand combat war like those that stormed the beaches at Normandy?

When we became a country where inner cities crumbled, crime soared, drug addiction ruined many, our economy faltered, and inept leadership made things even worse
This was happening in large cities during the 1800s as well. Probably even more depraved acts as well. Child prostitution, drugs, organized crime, vote fraud, political corruption, etc.

It’s fricking hilarious how y’all boomers are obsessed over participation trophies. I literally just threw them in the back seat of the suv or whatever junk pile in my room. Y’all act like these 2 dollar plastic trophies had some mind controlling magic enchantment or something.

Shhhh. Let them pretend that Laura Ingles Wilder’s version of America, with god, freedom, and country reigned supreme until the liberals offshored all the jobs.
