Swimming in bodies of water that I can't see the bottom of. Or at least the first few feet of. It scares me to think about something biting, poking or cutting me and I can't see it.

I put all my knives point down in the dishwasher because i have an irrational fear of tripping and impaling myself on them otherwise

Having an 18 wheeler change lanes into me at the top of a tall bridge (think I-10 coming into nola) and going into the rail/dangling/plummeting.
Also, my job requires me to review a lot of medical records. I do NOT like ladders. You shouldn’t either.

Claustrophobia. All my life. But not irrational. As I get older, heights. Not tall buildings or airplanes, I’m fine there, but where I could actually fall, like on the roof of a tall building. Again, not irrational. Wasps. I will run like a little bitch, I will jump out of a boat into a lake to get away from a wasp. Irrational because, yeah, getting stung hurts, but my reaction to seeing one is pretty fricking lame.

I have a few rational fears but my most irrational one is that I'm scared of opening canned biscuits. Why they gotta make those things so you need a jackhammer to open them and then they explode on you?

Bridges, but only specific types. The Luling bridge does not bother me whereas along the same route the 310 ramp to I-10 is a white knuckle event. It has a weird incline and I always get the sensation that my truck is going to flip over the side. Add Bonus pucker points if a plane is coming in to MSY just overhead.

Being incapacitated, unable to move or talk. Basically going to the hospital and having some angel of death nurse kill me with drugs and take my organs. I ain't going to no damn hospital.

I have a fear of burning up in a fire, not dying, just getting severely burned. Not sure that's an irrational fear though.
