It takes one good arse whipping and after that all you have to say to a kid is "I going to tell your daddy!". I don't even remember if my daddy gave me that one good arse whipping.. He gave me a few but I don't think there was that one I remembered, but when your momma said "I going to tell your daddy", you would be nervous as hell all day just hoping she forgets to tell your daddy when he came home from work.

True story.. Its one of those you remember because it has been told over and over over the years.
Evidently I was in my sisters room... I was 2 or 3... give or take year and I touched something I wasn't supposed to and my sister told me if I did it again she would slap the shite out of me. I told her she couldn't slap me because "I had muscular dystrophy". but I said it in away a kid would say it. My sister went tell my momma what I said and my momma came slap the shite out of me and told me she didn't care what I had nor does anyone else.
So yeah the chair didn't really matter. My daddy would pick me up, with me leaning against his arm and.. usually slap the back of my legs.
One time when my parents wasn't home. My brother, who is 10 years older than me, pulled my wheelchair down so the back was touching the floor and then went in our bedroom and closed the door. I am sure I found away to crawl out, but the chair didn't make me special/

I bought a side of thick veg tanned leather and cut belts with a strap cutter set at an inch and a half. Some holes punched with a template and a buckle added to make it functional. Then some dye for color and edge finishing to make it smooth. I have done patterns with stamps and carving.
That will keep my pants and protective equipment in place for 15 to 20 years at least.
I have also found a large piece of black latigo which made great belts.

Coronado leather makes some beautiful horween leather belts. Picked up a couple a few months ago and wow. Damn things look great and should last forever.
