1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. All wheel drive turbo. I remember showing it off to my friend. He got into the passenger seat with a half full beer bottle. I said, "you got that beer?". To which he covered the top with his hand. I launch it and he still got beer all over himself. Katrina took that car while I was having the engine upgraded.

One of my room mates in Athens had a 1986ish Isuzu Trooper. It had a lawnmower engine and was a 5 speed manual. Slow as shite but could climb a tree.

Those damn things sell for a fortune now if you can find one that still runs.

I don’t know any time frame you’re dealing with, but did you ever imagine that Bronco would be worth a small fortune today?

Absolutely amazing the prices some vehicles fetch now. I bought mine for $3000 in the mid-1990s. One of my customers back then was an older black a/c repair man. Just a wonderful guy. He had over a hundred mopars, as well as some other classics, just sitting in a warehouse in Baton Rouge. He knew....that man could see the future. My dad had a bad arse 1969 Chevelle SS when I was young. Paid virtually nothing for it. Would love to have it now.

2nd vehicle I owned is to this day my favorite I ever owned, wrecked the first hoopdie 1992 spider eclipse when the bungee cord holding the hood shut didn’t get out back on after the morning ritual of filling up all the oil it dumped in the garage. Thing I think took a full summer to save for and lasted all of 3 weeks lol hood blew up smashed the sunroof down on me and I veered off the road drove it a few more days and then had to put her down.

Now the second vehicle was my baby! 1979 ford ranger 150. Thing was a tank I could chirp all 4 tires when I locked the fro t hubs and smashed the gas on that auto. That thing drove me back and forth from truckee to. San Diego for two summers u til she blew up on me in the middle of the desert almost died that day of dehydration waiting for someone to feel bad for me on side of the hwy and pick me up and bring me to town to get a tow truck. Spent the last of my money to get towed to a shop and sleep in the front seat for a week. Mechanic was the man he pretty much gave me an old 351 winsor I think from a mustang I worked for him a few times during the day his wife brought me food and they let me use there bathroom to shower. My dad finally gave me some money to pay for the engine and install about 812$ lol that mechanic had to have lost so much money on me I think he only helped me bc his wife was so upset I was 18 years old driving back and forth logging in cali and Nevada. I paid my dad back and I always wish I would drive by that shop and he would still be there and I’d try and let him no how much he probably change me life by helping me with that truck.

A friend of mine had one of those and we’d go on camp outs and rampage through his dads fields with it

My favorite is my current ‘fun car’

2009 Mercedes CLK 550 V8 Cabriolet

It’s fast as hell and I love driving around with the top down when the weather is cool.

It was the last year of the CLK V8’s.

Bought it a few years ago for a steal and have no plans of ever giving it up.

2005 Mercedes SL55 AMG

Phenomenal car comfort and performance wise. God awful in maintenance and reliability, but smiles per mile every drive.

Not even a question. I still get wistful thinking about it. Deep torquey power, the growl and burble of the V-12, smoothly taking curves and hauling that heavy arse back into a straight line after swinging out from acceleration. Fantastic touring car and I'll get another one someday (but not as a daily driver)

Exactly like this:
