What was your one event where you managed to get noticed or luck into a situation? Maybe get on the news, an extra in a movie?

Thought about this when talking to my friend the other day. He was an extra on the movie Office Space and can be clearly seen. Another friend was in the movie Friday Night Lights and all 3 of his scenes got cut.

Only thing I have is that I'm in one of the music videos from 311. I can be seen 4 or 5 times during the video.

Were you passed out and was it some guy from Alabama?

Never heard about it though, you didn't get your full 15 minutes. Might want to go back for more.

Spoke at a conference in Las Vegas. It wasn't the keynote, just a random session, however, I was in the lead slot so I was in a large conference room with about 1000 people. After the presentation, everyone came to tell me what a good job I did, and for the rest of my time there people recognized me and talked to me. I still have people recognize me within our organization at our annual conference three years later.

I was quoted by the Seattle PI after a cruise ship incident and it was picked up across the country by large papers in every market.

I did some consulting for a production company shooting for a TV show last summer and my picture was on some of the promotional material.

Not sure if my mug made it on the show, it hasn't aired.

Day 1 of scratch off tickets here in Louisiana came at noon on a Friday in whatever year. I went to a local gas station, waited in line like everyone else and bought 10 scratch off tickets. I won $5,000 and was featured in the local newspaper.

Two things: like a gentleman, as I was entering the store I held the door open and let a woman in before me so she was in line ahead of me. Had I barged in she would have gotten my ticket. Well, maybe. I went in with intentions of buying 5 tickets but "went all in" and bought 10 (Big Spender). The $5K ticket was the 7th ticket on the strip so if I had only bought 5 the person behind me would have gotten that ticket.

I ended up losing probably $3K on that deal. Had the kitchen remodeled which cost me $7K.

When I worked for a vet in college we had a segment on KPLC news every Friday evening called "kritter corner". I would bring a different animal every week to be adopted and the anchor would ask me questions about the animal in a live interview.

I was on Color the Weather as a kid which lasted about 15 seconds.

I've been waiting on my remaining 14 minutes and 45 seconds ever since.

I was on Food Network a few years ago. They came out to do a feature at our work place.

I was also on the local news when I lived in Pensacola. I managed a pet store and they interviewed me during the dog food recall. It was live and I hated it.

My wife was on HGTV about 10 years ago.

I would say we had about 5 minutes of fame.

Been on local news for interviews a couple of times and on the front page of the local paper twice. Other than that, I got nothing.

Couple of friends from HS that I keep up with are actors and have done movies and TV.
