Am I the only one who knows? They're insecure with their bodies. They want to cover up and its got the bonus of being comfortable.

This. It's basically a teenage security blanket.

A few years ago, on a 95 degree August day, I went to take some photographs of a beautiful young actress/model. She showed up wearing a hoodie. When I asked her to remove the hoodie she declined, saying she wasn't wearing anything underneath.

Not to mention that you can’t fit a Zippo, 3 Snickers bars, and a Schlitz Blue Bull in your skinny jeans.

Because they are stupid people who put all of their emphasis on fitting in and zero effort into being themselves.

Or it’s a result of the brainwashing by their liberal masters resulting in irrational behavior from their instilled insane ideology.

Or maybe it’s the same reason why the school system can’t be improved: lack of strong parenting because the parents are weak minded and gutless people.

I don’t care if these idiot kids end up in heatstroke over the choice of their apparel, it’s idiocy on display.

BTW I grew up independently thinking due to moving around a lot. Learned early in life that your “peers” are constantly changing so just live YOUR life and let popularity alone. It’s either going to happen anyway or maybe it’s just a weird kid, the kind that ends up in a mass shooter situation.

Are you my wife?

lol

Our son is 14 and exact same story. His answer is it’s so cold in the school? Yesterday in the pickup line it was a parade of kids wearing ridiculous clothes for the temp.

As people get older the heat impacts them more, older bodies just aren't made for the heat like younger ones are

I was in high school during the JNCO era. Had two pair but they weren’t the really big flares. Went well with doc martins and Hilfiger polos lol. Getting nostalgic thinking about it!

The skinny jeans trend has to be the worst. Glad I missed that one. At least jncos were comfortable.

That all started with Bell Bottoms, Z. Cavaricci’s and MC Hammer Pants.

The ultimate fashion release that changed clothes forever was bell bottoms of the 1970’s. In the 1980’s they went opposite, loose in the knees for the Z. Cav’s and Hammer Pants, then in the 1990’s Jinco went all big on legs from the waist down.
