I graduated 18 years ago and wore a hoodie every day my senior year. It’s not like I was going outside during the day (other than when I walked into school). I don’t recall ever getting hot in the school building, and I usually wore a t shirt under the hoodie (which was against the “rules”), but they never checked.

My daughter does this. Sweaters, sweat shirts, hoodies , you name it. Boggles my mind.

I remember when you wished it was cool in the classrooms.....and you did not puss out on the hoodie thing. Hell, I used to not even put on a jacket much less a sweatshirt or sweater until the temperature hit the mid 50s in the evenings

Go in any of these schools... It's freezing and they do not control the temp at the location.

I am wearing a hoodie now. My office is stupid cold. But this also isn't a polar-survival-hoodie or anything, if I wear it outside it's not uncomfortable.
I see people working construction wearing long sleeves all the time and never worry about it. I don't wonder why bass fishermen wear long sleeves.

I remember being morbidly hot in august as a kid as well. The streets where we played were empty all month.

Because you’re a cupcake soft hand boy.
They wear them to protect them from the sun and not to be cooked alive while working in the sun all day.
