It is a good question. Can’t say I’ve ever gone on a date to a “Build A Bear Workshop” and if I was invited it’d be an instant Hinge block.

What’s you’re witnessing is the infantilism that has infected the young’s “adults” of today. A prime example is the trend of them posting to social media what in past times were normal adult activities the hashtag “adulting”. It’s quite pathetic and emblematic of how far the rot has progressed in our society.

I’ve been to build a bear a lot over the years, thanks to kids. I’ve never once noticed an adult alone in there, obviously getting a bear for themselves like you’re describing. You may just live near weirdos.
