For real though, are you in the crane and rigging business?

So did you get fired? Seems like that woukd be an odd situation at work if you didnt and everyone eventually found out what was going on.

I once saw a guy max elevate the 25mm on a Bradley, wildly swing the turret outside the range fans, and fire rounds toward a trailer park.
Saw the loggies drive off dumping live main gun rounds off the back of their PLS.
Saw a LT drive back to the motorpool with live mortar round in his HMMWV because his platoon daddy said it was OK.
Saw that same LT talk into the squawk box rather than use the hand mic.
Saw that same LT fire mortars danger close to my vehicles.
Saw a platoon leader give a status report to his commander one time, "Specialist X is not here this morning, he had a heart attack this weekend".
Saw a field artillery officer unable to read grid locations on a map.
Saw a guy wanting to test a jet engine by putting it on a pallet and hooking up external fuel lines to it and letting it rip.
Saw a Major attach his e-tool to his LBV.
These were all bad or potentially bad career moves.

Had an opportunity for one of our products to be featured in a customer's nationwide commercial - for free.
Instead of shipping the samples to them, I sent them to my office (didn't change the address in my last sample request).
Didn't realize the error until the pallet showed up at my door.
Missed out on the commercial.

I wrecked a company van during my first job. Felt really bad about it but it was an old POS. I kept my job and they hired an additional driver. He wrecked our new truck and hit the warehouse sprinkler line with the forklift which flooded the dock.

First internship I ever worked. Caught dozing off after working the night before. Luckily the supervisors boss was understanding because he had hired me knowing I worked nights.
I wasn't even supposed to be there that day but they called me in. Got there at 7:30am after working from 3p to 5a.
frick the supervisor though. She was a count for the rest of the length of the internship.

I answered my phone while driving a company vehicle which was a strict no no in company policy. The kicker was that it was the head of HSE that called. So she bitched at me and I thought I would just get written up. Well then not even 5 mins later I answered an email and didnt realize she was copied on the email. So then she became really unglued and shite hit the fan. Needless to say, I had alot of added safety training to do and two writeups in one day.
Luckily they went away after a year and everything is good now. Now they terminate employees immediately if they are caught on phone while driving.

Worked at BR Coke and used to fuel up and park all the trucks as they finished their routes. Long story short I thought I was driving a 8 bay truck but it was a 16 bay truck and I was hauling arse through the parking lot and turned to park next to another truck and clipped the truck I was parking next to and totaled the trailer. I should of been fired but they gave me 3 days off.

Worked in a flooring warehouse when I was college. We closed at 5 and we get a truck of ceramic tiles at 4:55. I was in a hurry and dropped the last pallet on top of another and it wasn't center and fell off and broke $20k worth of tile. Locked up and clocked out and pretended nothing ever happened. Owner called me the next day, knowing I was lying, but he was on the phone with the freight company and asked me if it was broke on the truck. I said it sure was but it was late so didn't check and just offloaded it. They credited him for the tile and I kept my job.

One time I told the customers that the ice cream machine was working. Needless to say, my coworkers were not happy with me.

While working in public relations, I saved over an entire magazine I had put together for work within hours of publication. Had to stay late and put it together again.
For a movie that I was a PA on, one of my duties was picking up cast and crew from the airport. I had access to rental cars since I did so much driving for various purposes. I knew I had an early morning airport run the following morning, so I "borrowed" a rental car and used it for personal activities all that evening. The next morning my supervisor asked if I had borrowed a car. I came clean, which was the only thing that kept me from getting canned.

Talked shite about a new contractor who didn't know anything about the project I was on.
She was the GF of a bigwig and it got to him pretty quickly that I called her incompetent.
Got a talking to from HR and had a target on my back for quite a while. Don't work there anymore thank god....
