For me as a kid? I got the shite beat out of me. Lol

The worst whipping I ever got was when I come in from playing and I laid my brand new $500+ bicycle down behind my dads truck and he backed over it. He barged in the house and pulled off his alligator skin belt and wore my arse out. I always joked about that seeing as I felt like I didn't do anything, but later on I realized I probably would have whipped my kids (if I had one) arse too if he did that. I know it sucked for him having to go to the bike store and get me a new bike right after just buying one.

My older brother was bad bad. Him and my dad used to get in fist fights. My dad was kind of a bad arse, was always jacked, had a six pack up until his late 60's. My brother hit my dad with a Louisville Slugger one time on the back and my dad barely flinched. My brother got it bad after that one.

Found out later on once I got a little older it was probably the steroids that helped with the strength

I had to run up a sand/dirt hill until either I threw up or my dad got tired (he was just watching).

He also bought one of those push reel mowers and forced me to mow with that one summer. It took a little over an hour to do the lawn with our riding mower, so the reel mower required me to mow for an hour or two almost every night of the week, then when the new week started it was time to start all over again.

Kneeling on uncooked rice for half an hour.

Hilarious. My sister's kids became hellions for a bit and gave her the same shite she put my parents through. Justice.

Even worse than that was being told you had disappointed them. A buddy and I got in a fist fight with a road paving crew in front of a friend of my fathers business. My buddy took the stop sign away from one of the dudes and was swinging it at them as we made good our escape. My Dad's friend told him about it. My father came in, say me down, and asked me what had happened. One of the guys on the crew had said something, I don't remember what, I told him go frick himself and it was on. My dad told me was disappointed in me. I would have preferred he kick my arse than have him tell me I had done something he did not approve of.

When I was a younger kid getting whipped with a belt was a daily occurrence. It lost all effectiveness by the time I was 7 or 8, we just thought it was a daily part of life which was a nuisance and unavoidable, thus we did not try to avoid it. Disappointing my parents though, that was a whole 'nother can of worms.

Maybe the worst punishment I ever received was by my grandfather. I let a F bomb slip in front of my Grandmother when I was about 12 and he told me in no uncertain terms that any man who would speak that way in front of a woman was not a man and the scum of the earth. I worshipped the man and had heard many an F bomb come from his mouth but never in the presence of a woman. It took me several months to not be ashamed to be in his presence after that and it took hold. I am 59 and I almost did it just 2 days ago, caught myself, and immediately thought of that incident.

Not punishment but until I was about 15 years old my dad and I would don boxing gloves and spar with one another. I boxed golden gloves from about 10 - 13 so I thought I was billy bad arse, and was with other 12 year olds LOL He generally took it pretty easy on me unless I connected and he would repay me in kind. The last time we ever did it I started getting the better of him pretty seriously and he took it for a pretty good while....until I landed a solid upper cut to his chin. I knew I had made a mistake when I saw his eyes. I was not, at that moment, his son but a man who had just caught him flush in the chin LOL. He whipped my arse no end until I was a blubbering bloody mess on the floor covering up and squalling. The worst part about was his apologizing later for losing control. I did not deserve an apology and knowing that I had caused him to feel like he needed to apologize to me was worse than any physical abuse he handed out.
