Pogey plant in Cameron. Set survey control for a COE "Rear Range Marker".
Rot and fish guts ankle deep in and around the facility. Horrific smell permeating your very soul. Whole crew was hurling and dry heaving. Disgusting!

Not go… but permanent location of plank road. On top of that …. I managed a bank.

They kept the location as Baton Rouge… lol….

I left in 2 months

Poughkeepsie New York, on the Hudson river, on a barge, in early November (the leaves were pretty), taking soil borings (core samples) for a geotechnical(soil testing) company, in the snow, frigid temperatures, using water assistance to get the "cuttins'" outta the hole. Thank God and all things holy the Yankee unions said we shouldn't be there infringing on their workload/territory. We went home two days later. frick cold. frick ice and snow. Most miserable, $6 an hour job I ever did!!! True story. Winter 1990.
