Very similar for me, but in reverse. Left Ely, Minnesota around 6AM and it was -25. Flew into Greenville, SC around 6PM and it was about 65. 90 Degree difference in one day.

I happened to be sent to Omaha for a week during the coldest February week they'd had in like 100 years. They even canceled schools a few days which doesn't happen often up there for cold weather. I think the high the first day I was there was -1.

I remember an arctic blast came through Louisiana once and the temperature went from upper 70’s to lower 20’s within a few hours. No traveling required.

Went up to Wyoming in June last year. Got off the plane, rented a car, and ended up in a snowstorm.

I roadtripped one May from BR to Thousand Oaks, CA.

At one point in the late afternoon in Pecos, TX it was about 110F, we went to Carlsbad Caverns then up to Albequerque for the night where it was in the 30s.

70+ degrees shift in less than 12 hours.

When I got off the plane in Panama it was around 90 with what felt like 150% humidity

I flew into Kingston Jamaica once an they had a rolling staircase wheeled up to the door of the plane, so we exited onto the blacktop tarmac. It was July and I felt like I had stepped into a blast furnace. Just immediately started pouring sweat.

I flew from Sydney to New Orleans in July one year. It was winter down there, so when I left it was about 40 degrees. When I got to New Orleans about 30 hours later it was well, New Orleans in July.

Where I lived in Australia, I learned that there were three predominant weather patterns. Your "westerlies" was a hot, dry wind that blew in from the interior. Your "northerlies" was the hot, humid air that came from the north and brought rain. Your "southerlies" was the nice, cool air blowing up from Antarctica. One summer, we had a day with unusually hot westerlies making it about 105 degrees. I was driving home from work with the window down and when I got out of the city, the westerlies shifted to a southerly wind. I swear within two minutes the temperature dropped from 105 to about 80. It was a strange feeling.

That’s exactly how Panama felt. And throw in the fact that that papayas were starting to ripen and it was a hot, humid, fruit funk sweat box.

But I love that country!

Try Thailand next. Might as well hit them right before the hottest part of their year. Should be around 90-95.

When i went to work it was 48 degrees, when i got 2 my second stop, 2 hours later, it was in the 20's and falling quickly.

That was a super shock on the body, got 2 cold 2 fast. And the wind made it worse, as it was whipping, and it would go right thru ur clothes, bone chilling

Christmas Eve 1983. Dropped from 65 to 30 in about an hour with very strong north winds. Six people died duck hunting, one was a guy I kind of knew and one was by best friend. He was dating my cousin at the time and I was with her when she found out. Worst day of my life. I still get depressed about it this time of the year.

Tulsa had a day where it was 90's at lunchtime and before sundown had fallen to 30's. It was the 2nd biggest single day change in the history of OK. That was around 1992. That was a shocking change, and the TV/Radio weather had forecasted it nearly perfectly too!! Everyone knew that day to dress in short sleeves but carry a heavy coat.

Here's an interesting Wunderground link on some extremes in the US historically.
