If you that offended by it, go to HR and tell them how it hurts your feelings and how it shows privilege for certain groups to be able to afford to buy cookies, when you and others are struggling to pay the bills, let alone to buy extravagant desserts, like those decadent GSC.

Just tell them you already ordered from your daughter, grand daughter, niece and nephew.
Easy way to get rid of salesman too. Damn I’d love to buy your product but I just bought from my bil.

No love for the Tag-alongs in this thread? Best one, imo, but I love chocolate and peanut butter. BTW, you can find just about all the GS cookie types at Aldi. Much cheaper, too.

Why are the parents trying to sell it? Thought it was the Girl Scouts that should sell

When I worked, I never got a chance to sign up. The parents would come by my office with the hard sell. Yes, those Samoans.

If they asked, I’d just tell them the truth. I don’t eat sweets.

Selling cookies used to be about teaching girls a number of life skills.

Now it’s all about that 35 cents per box that each troop gets. The Girl Scouts tell the girls not to go door to door.

So buy one from each. Or don’t.

I doubt it’s been that for decades, GS corporate makes bank over these cookies. It’s about padding the executives pockets while the troops get hardly anything. I rather and do just donate directly to the troop instead of the stupid arse cookies.

I hate our Cub Scout fundraisers as well because they do the same slimy shite. Our council dropped popcorn sales finally and made a deal with Chattanooga Bakery to sell moon pies instead of popcorn and we actually get more than National by going this route. I hate moon pies though, wish we would make a similar deal with McKee and did Little Debbie stuff. I don’t think the Adventists like Scouts anymore though, think they went with Trail Life nonsense.

“Give me all the thin mints” is the proper response.
