What's the proper response- Co-workers peddling Girl scout cookies?
Posted by secfballfan on 1/24/23 at 1:07 pm

There are now THREE sign up sheets for Girl scout cookies in my company kitchen. WTH am I supposed to do? If I buy from 1 I have to buy from 3.
Back in the day when daughter was a GS I NEVER pushed on office, which is why I ended up buying like 25 boxes every year. Only thing I got out of it was wife throwing on her old GS uniform once in awhile!

Buy 1 from each. Mint, and throw them bad boys in the freezer

They never bought from you, no obligation to buy from them.

I give nothing to any scouting and they really don’t want to ask me why.

I’d say if it’s for an immediate supervisor or an immediate direct report to you, like your assistant, you buy from them.
If it’s an equal colleague, just tell them the supervisor or assistant beat them to your wallet this year.

Just speak up around the water cooler and say your doctor made you swear off sugar. It's bad for you anyway.

Who says we need to teach Critical Thinking in schools?
ETA: The only logical solution here is to take a massive shite in the middle of the kitchen so that NO one signs up for cookies.

Buy a bunch of cookie for the troops overseas. They get cookies, you get to feel good and don't add the useless extra calories to your gut. And it's tax deductible.
