Does Austin & SA also count as Centroplex? Greater Houston needs a cool name like centroplex and metroplex.

There’s enough divide between Temple/Killeen/Belton that I’d say no. Culturally they align more with Waco than Austin for better or worse.

I’d also say SA and Austin are still two different metroplexes. There’s still a healthy divide between San Marcos and New Braunfels and New Braunfels and Shertz.

That divide is getting smaller every year. I’m sure in the next 20 years there won’t be a foot of undeveloped land from Jarrell to South San Antonio.

Pretty much the same here. Closest town/village is at least 6 miles as the crow flies and maybe 9 by road.

I lived the first 22 years of my life like this, it’s definitely not for me

Having to drive 20 minutes to the nearest grocery store is for the birds.

Pittsburgh

There are way more of us on here than I expected, and by way more I mean myself and two others

We live in Weirton now. Technically not "Pittsburgh Metro" but we're actually closer to the city (and work) than when we lived in Center Township/Monaca

We are tucked away, with no road access. Our population is pretty stable and hasn't changed much since I have been here. Its gone from 30k-32k over 25 years.

I used to have a plant I supported in Post Falls. The Coeur d'Alene area is pretty freaking amazing. Of course, every time I would go there I would have to eat at the White House Grill and would smell like Garlic for 2 days.

New Orleans has declining growth but you still get the shitty traffic and crumbling infrastructure.

I'd love Nola traffic over Ascension right now, for real.

What Lafayette is this? You didn't specify a state.

Lafayette, 478k metro.
Will be around 600k if they add St.Landry and Acadia to the metro definition.

They have included part of st Landry. Opelousas is the furthest north inclusion from what I read. What they define as Lafayette metro area is ridiculous.... Something like from Rayne to Henderson, and Morgan city to Opelousas. Includes just about everything in that square if you draw it out.
