Halibut Cove.
I know there are a couple others who vacation there, or in the Homer area.

Beautiful area, but those folks are crazy liberal, closed minded nut jobs. I'll pass.

Oh look, a guy who's probably never been to Bawcomville at Christmas.
It rivals even the likes of Paris and Rome during that time of year.

Louisiana residents are obsessed with Colorado.
It’s everything we’re not.
1. Elevation
2. Totally different weather and vegetation (low humidity, cool or cold summer mornings, lasting snow, Douglas firs and ponderosa pines, I could go on...)
3. And full of fit and healthy people.
Of course you can say that about most western states, but Colorado has the highest concentration of tall peaks, and it’s really accessible with a 3 hour non stop flight.

The Colorado mountain towns are really tough to beat. Those are some of the best views in the US outside of Alaska, and definitely the most accessible.
The healthy and fit people part is pretty funny too. When we moved here we were laughing at how skinny everyone is compared to back home.

Lots of our house staff enjoy 30A.
OT Ballers usually end up on our private islands.
