You’re right - that is Tracy and Jobie’s (dentist and ophthalmologist) house in Oak Harbor on the West side of I-10. I was confusing that listing with the one in Lakeshore Estates, which also sits on its own peninsula and is the same style of house in the same price range. Ran into Tracy earlier this year - she is still looking mighty fine.

ETA: Here’s the one in Lakeshore Estates...$2.7 million, 11,000 sq. ft.

They started building the hakim house in Monroe the mid 80s around the time my sister was born and it wasn’t finished when she finished college in 2006. Sketchy fires and all types of stuff.

She probably just wont leave, very common for older people to refuse to leave what they are familiar with, regardless of how nice a place they could live in.

It's big but not good looking.
Lots of nice places in garden district.
I'd pick the Admirals mansion that's for sale right now. (The other corn stalk fence house)

Nobody builds a 10000 sq ft. $5mm home because they are modest.

The one on Ursulines is walking distance from world class restaurants and I believe is brad Pitts home.

It’s Jimmy Stone’s house of Stone Oil. They have tugs/diesel barges and provide fuel/oil for ships/tugs/tows on Mississippi Rivers

When entering the white house to the left is owned by Tulane. To my understanding, they use the home for trustee meetings and social events. The home on the right is owned by Avram Glazer. His family owns the Tampa Bay Bucs and Manchester United.
