That house was for sale about 1-2 yrs ago for around 7-8 mil. Did it sell or is it still the same owners?

The 32,000 SQFT former Paula Pennington Estate, don't remember who bought it, but she lost around 12 million on the sale. She is currently building a mere 19,000 SQFT home, decided to downsize.

If I had 10 kids then maybe, otherwise it is a waste of money.

The one close to amite is owned by an Electrician and the one off 190 in Hammond by the airport is Oak Knoll Country Club.

Is that house in Lakeshore Estates or whatever that relatively new development south of I-10 on the lake is called?

I’ve always liked 5411 St. Charles Ave. It’s definitely not the biggest but I like the architecture and location.

Can’t get the Streetview image to post.

That Haikim house caught fire when I was in college there. It took them for-fricking-ever to build it.

If by new construction you mean under construction for like a decade. I wouldn’t touch that house with a ten foot pole. It must have some serious issues to have not been purchased; I’ve seen it listed several different times over the years.

Damn they still haven't finished it? I remember riding the bus by there every day and wondering when it would be completed.

Yes. I think the owner was the guy who developed that subdivision.

PJ Brown’s house that someone just posted is in the same subdivision. His was for sale in the $8 million range too recently.

Kentucky has a castle. A cool one.

Yea, but it's more for banquets and bed and breakfasts. Not a residence.

If you’re crossing the twin span over Lake Pontchartrain headed north, it’s the first exit to the right in Slidell. The subdivision is Lakeshore Estates - full of million dollar homes. The owner is the developer of the subdivision as far as I know, and it has been for sale for a while. I think it is around the $3.2 million range now.

ETA: Here’s the listing... Zillow

ETA: This one is actually on the left side of the interstate (same exit) in Oak Harbor. There is one just like it, the same style house and also on a peninsula, for sale in Lakeshore Estates.

Mansions in the middle of nowhere- no thanks. The one on Ursulines is walking distance from world class restaurants and I believe is brad Pitts home.

I think that may be Edwin Edwards' old house. I know he, a one time, live on Highland at Pecue.

His house was near there. It gone now. The land is now a neighborhood called Casa Colina or something like that.
