Of the major names it has to be Burger King. It would not take much to change things but they just don’t seem interested in paying good people and building their brand.

how is the Wienerschnitzel by LSU still open after all these years?
how is the Wienerschnitzel closed for a while in the early mid-1980’s and was replaced by a place with the clever name 39 Cent Burger. Guess what they sold? Just the burger, fries, and drinks. The drive through used to back up with carloads of students wanting a sack of cheap burgers.
Eventually, it went back to Wienerschnitzel.
*All of this is based on memories no doubt altered through over indulgence in liquor.

Burger King is up there. The one closest to me NEVER has people. At least when I pass by. And I thought it was just that location, but it seems to be every location I pass by.. At the busiest, they have some people there.
I know a dude who used to deliver bread and he told me there are several BK locations, including the one closest to me that if you would go in the kitchen you would never eat there again... It seems like the owners don't pay managers well so they get shite managers which means shite employees.. And it all turns into shite.

That’s their secret. Only have to sell half the burgers if they’re double the price.

Qdoba.
Problem with subway and why I would tell people they were a bad idea, you had no protection of other groups moving in on you. They built too many.
Could you imagine getting up a new store in area, you feeling good, but someone puts two other locations within a mile or two of you?
They also don’t have drive thru or at least none I’ve been to. Which for fast food joints that don’t sell the best tasting food, you’ve got to have the drive thru for convenience.
McDonald’s does like 60-70% of sales via drive thru.

I haven’t been to Burger King in years, and never really even consider it, but last time I went the Whopper was still a solid fast food burger. Their fries always sucked.

Burger King spent an insane amount of money for those whopper ads during football games and it didn’t attract a single customer

They are up there on failing. I never even heard of this place until I moved to Baton Rouge to go to LSU. It’s just cheap trash food.

It is expensive, but is a decent burger. I like how they cook the patties. They are thin, I don't like thick burgers because its harder for them to cook in the middle. I rather have two small patties on one burger..
But obviously people are willing to pay but if that becomes an issue they will drop their prices.

Five Guys can suck a fat one. You’re basically looking $40 for two burgers, 2 fries and that’s it. frick ‘em. I’ll just do Wendy’s if I want a quick burger.

I think there’s like 13 locations left. Not sure why, the root beer is awesome and food is good. There’s one still in Greenville, Ms
Sonic has seemed to gone downhill too at least around here. A lot of them are being closed and bought out by Bumpers which has seen an odd resurgence lately

It’s pretty strong in Texas, I think.
Sourdough Jack is a solid sandwich, and the curly fries are good.

Never cared for Five Guys. Moo-Yah is a similar chain and their burgers are way better.

LJS is awful. I remember years ago we got one with an A&W fast food place. Neither lasted 2 years
