Two weeks in Bali. Stayed in private villas with private infinity pools, amazing views, and great food.

That sounds badass. Which services did you choose on your catamaran. I'm assuming skipper, but did you have anyone else?

Rented a beach front house on the far east side of St. John, USVI.

LINK

What made it relaxing was how secluded it was. Clothing was clearly optional and I opted out many times. Could spend all day there sipping rum and painkillers with my wife, and the only contact with the outside world being watching boats sail and motor by.

Restaurants and bars were a brief drive away among some of the most gorgeous views I have ever seen.

It made me want to retire on the spot.

Moorea back in the day. I had an un air conditioned place on the beach, no phone, no tv, pre-internet. I just snorkeled and ate fish and snorkeled and it was sun drenched and topless French broads and drank carafe after carafe of wine and pineapple and it was perfect. I’ve never duplicated it.

Grace Bay - Turks & Caicos

Grace Bay is beautiful but we chose to go to Sapodilla Bay. A little quieter and more secluded than Grace Bay.

If anyone is wanting a relaxing vacation in Turks and Caicos this is the place we stayed at

Without a doubt the most relaxing vacation of my life.

My honeymoon in St John. Turned my phone off and had no plans. Had a nice isolated "tree house" cabin with a beautiful view. Also open up a drawer and found it came stocked with more weed than I could smoke while I was there.

Drove out west by myself after college (net friends in SF and Yosemite). Camping in a tent at Yosemite was probably the most relaxing part.

Cabin in the mountains of Gatlinburg. Walked the town during the day, and spent the evenings in front of the fire or in the hot tub. Loved it there.

Rented a house on Roatan with a small private beach with just my wife and 2 kids. We laid under coconut trees most of the days and could walk out get in the surf and snorkel one of the largest coral reefs in the world anytime we desired.

ETA a couple pics from our porch.

Nothing beats dragging kids skis around while they are crying not wanting to be there, or getting swamp arse in overcrowded Disney world in July. You pick

Bigfork Montana last summer in Glacier national Park. Rented a cabin for a week in June and just enjoyed nature and its views along with white water rafting and hiking.

Gatlingburg Tennessee

Rented a cabin that wasn’t really close to anyone. Could sit outside in the hot tub drinking, sit on the front porch, and if you knew your way around traffic wasn’t really that bad. Plus it’s not to hot/humid

I prefer the Grand Hyatt on the south shore for the insane pools but the Princeville St Regis has that reef off the beach and that’s hard to beat. I would agree Princeville or better yet Hanalei are about as chill as it gets. You could be a world class hippy dropout there.
