I've been running with my daughter's XC team during summer 6am workouts.; kind of corralling the back of the pack kids, giving them pep talks, tips on form, breathing, pacing, jogging at a walk pace is better than walking, etc.

After Tuesdays run the team had 4x 100m strides with 1:00 recovery so I said screw it and jumped in line with them and ran them all out and vowed I would finish in the top 5 on every rep. We got done with 4 , the team captain broke it down and they started to walk off so I lined up for another one. He asked what I was doing and I said if coach asks for 4 I give him 5 so he lined up next to me and shortly thereafter so did every senior on the team.

Gave me chills when I got back in the truck and thought about it.

Oh, they smoked my arse on the last rep!!

it was like $10 to get in and another $25 if we wanted to put our car on the track.

Watching that lazy Fox body unless you were driving a 4 cylinder you would have had a good shot against him. When he launched I legit thought he rolled through the lights.

I’ve been to a small family owned track in Woodstock, Alabama and it was really a fun time. I believe it is Holiday Raceway. $10 gate fee, $15 to race on Thursday 5-9p for basically open track/test and tune runs.

Went to Edinburgh Castle and watched Scotland vs Germany in a Scotish Pub. Unfortunately Scotland lost but it was a great experience.

My kids presented the gospel to a few hundred different kids around town at backyard Bible clubs and did it enthusiastically. Nothing prouder than that.

A much more less important accomplishment was working all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to make sure one of the largest schools in the state had internet and DuO MFA for VPN Monday Morning to save a multimillion dollar firewall deployment.

Went fishing with our boss, his son, and five others up in Montana from Kalispell to a bit south of Missoula.

Included the Flathead, Swan, Blackfoot, and Bitterroot rivers and a few tributary creeks. No internet or social media. No news. No cell phone signal. Quite peaceful.

Quoted about $50,000 worth of work shite.

Received POs for about $30,000 of it.

Last week I had a record week for my side hustle of cutting yards

That's Lassiter Mountain for us in the Birmingham area. $10 Thursday seems to be a thing there. Haven't been in years. Old folks around Bham (like me), most likely grew up going to the dirt track at Bham International Raceway at the old fairgrounds. Lots of legends got to race down there.
