Yeah we get this thread periodically and inevitably the OT can stay awake longer than humanly possible. A person can literally die from lack of sleep. But not the OT.

Slept from 4-8 last night but won't be sleeping till 8 tomorrow... Been a shitty 3 days with less than 8 hours of total sleep

I'm a speed addict , not lying seven days. When I fell asleep it felt like I was drunk off my arse. I was starting to hallucinate and was talking out of my mind. It was scary

3 days for work. I still have anger issues over it. Because I right on what the issue was and nobody would listen

if you don't think 30 hours is even possible then I'm not even sure what to say other than you're a pussy.
my firend just told me about this thread and i was thinking and i dunno if i've hit 30, but i've hit at least 26-27
i could have kept going. it was a "wake up early on Friday b/c of court out of town then go out and before you know it, you're still at cowboys and it's the same time you woke up at 24 hours ago" situation.
but i've never done anything insane. i've probably done 24 hours 10-ish times

My brother is a meth addict, I've seen him up for a week straight. He was literally insane by that point. It's only after his body shut down on him that he finally passed out for like 2 days.

2 weeks ago I went 5 days with a combined 3 hours of sleep I was awake from Saturday morning at 7 am through 3 am on Tuesday morning. So thats...68ish hours straight. I then slept 3 hours, and was up all day Tuesday, slept 1 hour that night, and then was up all day Wenesday.
So my answer is 68 hours.
I was hallucinating at that point, and not in a fun way. I woke up after the first hour of sleep on that tuesday morning so loopy that I woke my wife up because I was yelling at some weird being that appeared in the china cabinet and looked like it was trying to steal the glass.

Partner and I were on call in 1998. Homicide callout, we'd automatically go on a 36 hours clock. After 36 straight, was on way home to get some sleep. Get another callout, weak arse supervisor refuses to call in another team. After living on Mountain Dew, Salem Lites, and Payday bars with no sleep for about 49 hours I began having audio hallucinations. It was at this point I told my supervisor he could kiss my happy Italian arse, I was going home to get some sleep. Got in my car, drove about 100 feet, fell asleep and plowed into one of our motor units parked in the compound. By the time I got back to work 15 hours later, they had already drafted a new G.O. that said for every 18 hours straight you work, you have to have 8 hours of sleep.

36+ hours fairly often in my first years in the oilfield; max of 60 or so. I'm an expert at naps now

70 hours. This was back in my late 20s for work. Production issue in our data center where the shite was hitting the fan. I was unlucky to be one of the people still at the office who had any idea what was going on.
I drove home afterwards, dozed off on the interstate and almost wrecked. I think I slept for almost 2 days. Could never do that again.

Only took 6 posts for someone to claim they stayed up 84 hours. I'm impressed, OT
He claimed 84 hours, without the use of coke or meth, and was supposedly productive. An even more impressive live of bullshite.

I stayed up for about 62-64 hours straight just a month or so ago without really wanting to and not taking any stimulants besides alcohol. Just a combination of anxiety, insomnia, and camping and trying to sleep in a shitty bed.
I've always had a hard time sleeping. Going 36 hours is something that happens pretty regularly with me.

Around 48 hours. Took a couple of ADHD meds with several cups of coffee.
The first half of that stretch was fine, but after I was midway through the second day it was a fricking nightmare. I didn't even feel like a person.

Damn y'all make me think I'm much more fricked up in the head than I already thought. I go 48 hours probably more often than twice a month and that is not taking any stimulants and trying to go to sleep.

My first year offshore working as a roustabout. Over the 7 day hitch we only got 1 full 12 hour shift off and two other 4 hour naps in the rack. So we were outside working 148 hours out of the 168 hour hitch. We would catch 30 minute naps on top of pallets of sack material, etc where we could. Most exhausted I've ever been in my life.
The rules were much different then, there is no way this would be allowed in the industry today.
