36+ hours fairly often in my first years in the oilfield; max of 60 or so. I'm an expert at naps now

If you've worked in the oilfield you have almost certainly stayed up at least 36 hours at some point.

I did a +48 hour shift as recent as 2013.

I mean, it's just not the same for everyone. Some people can go without sleep or only sleep for a couple of hours each night and be fine the next day.

Don't think it has anything to do with being fricked in the head, but if insomnia is that frequent for you, you should definitely see a doctor for it.

Somewhere around 40 hours when my oldest child was born.

During finals week my Sophmore year. ~48 hours. Towards the end of it we went out and got wasted. I passed out in the the back of my buddies jeep drooling. Had to be helped to my apartment and then I slept for 18 hours straight. Best worst thing ever.

Sounds like a manic phase.

Might want to check into that.

A little more than 48. I guess it was probably about 52-54 hours. No stimulants, either, except a couple cups of coffee. I remember driving home at the end of it and I was hallucinating. It was worrisome.

Without any naps, about 30 hours. My worst experience however, nineteen and a half hours of continuous driving, 967 miles, back in '86 on a vacation trip. Took me three days to get over that.
