I spent 500 hours playing destiny 1. That probably wasn’t needed.

2 years.
Side project in music, whole album was recorded. By the time it was done I wasnt feeling it anymore.

4 months on a hospital design; client cancelled project but paid 80% of my fee. I call it a win.

Did you recently work on something that wasn’t needed?

I've recorded quite a few, about to be done with one I've been working on since late 2015. Recorded solo. Blackened death metal. Have to finish recording 3 more of the songs and have it mastered.
I cant do mastering, That fricks with me.

Several weeks, with lots of unpaid ot, night after night.
Three person design team.
I was higher category. The others got the ot.
Company decided not to market to audience we were targeting, unrelated to our work, which no one ever saw.

Spent three months making a pharmaceutical intermediate that the company we made it for never even tested.
Spent three years trying to make a chemical plant in a foreign country profitable. Plant was eventually given away and then shut down within a year or so.
Developed many chemical processes that never were developed commercially.
Most r&d work ends up for naught.

I’ve never wasted any work. If I put my time in, no matter the outcome, I take responsibility and it was worth seeing the result.
There are no results without attempts.

4 months and $300k of the company’s money only to scrap it entirely.
